The Arts & Healing Program at Inova Schar Cancer uses art in its many forms to help support people in treatment and recovery and their loved ones. This innovative program includes a robust permanent art collection and ongoing exhibitions, performing arts events, and other workshops. The Arts & Healing Program is a resource for families, loved ones and the community to support Inova Schar’s core mission and philosophy to provide patient-centered care.

Creating Healing with Integrative Oncology Programs and the Arts

These programs at Inova Schar Cancer use art in its many forms to provide support throughout the continuum of care. These innovative programs include many evidenced based integrative approaches such as fitness, art therapy, acupuncture, nutrition, mind body techniques and support groups along with a robust permanent art collection and ongoing exhibition and an artist-in-residence program to provide opportunities for art expression throughout the facility. The Integrative Oncology and Arts & Healing Programs focus on the whole person wellness for individuals, families, loved ones and the community to support Inova Schar’s core mission and philosophy to provide patient-centered care – inspiring and encouraging all those who come through our doors.
