Strengthening and Supporting Inova’s Healthcare Heroes

The COVID-19 pandemic has shined a spotlight on our nation’s healthcare workers – and taken its toll. From the earliest days of the pandemic, Inova has centered its focus on keeping team members safe and providing resources to improve wellbeing and resilience.

Inova’s Team Member Compassion Fund offers emergency cash assistance to team members experiencing unexpected financial challenges. Over the last three years, the fund has distributed over $1.2 million to help with expenses including funerals, non-reimbursable medical costs, natural disaster, transitional housing and emergency travel.

With generous support from our community, Inova has launched new evidence-based wellbeing and resilience initiatives including making rounds with Compassion Carts and developing and training peer support networks.
